Be an Egg Donor Angel

I'm sorry I haven't updated this blogue in ages. I haven't even posted playlists. What's wrong with me? Probably the University of Stony Brook. Anyway, I saw some really awesome bands this week! It's actually been quite an amazing week! On Thursday night, a man called Bill Wentzel aka Stony Brooklyn brought some awesome acts to campus bar. Small Black, who I've been dying to see, were far more perfect than I could ever imagine. I have interview with them and I'll post it later for some shits and giggles. Or giggles and shits? Who knows. Anyway, they were fucking awesome and no matter what your doing in the next few months, you should go to one of their shows. I'm assuming they'll be tearing up SXSW and Todd P-fest. Can I call it that? Anyway, Small Black opened for another awesome band called Spinto Band. "Mandy" was probably one of you favorite jamz in High School. They sounded awesome and their set was tons of fun. They are a really fantastic sounding band. Thank you, Bill Wentzel, for making Stony Brook semi-cool. Last semester he also brought the Drums and Aeroplane Pageant. SWEET.
Here are some very videos from Thursday:

The sound of this video is insanely weird. It didn't pick up any vocals but then again from where I was standing you couldn't really even hear the vocals.

So on Friday, I found myself down in the meat packing district visiting Highline Ballroom for a Myspace Secret Show. It was pretty exciting. There's nothing like walking by a huge line wrapped around the block in insanely cold weather. I think there were even some flurries being thrown around by good ol' mother nature. I don't feel like writing much more, but Hot Chip is one of the best sounding bands I've ever seen live. They're amazing. I've never been crazy about their recorded stuff, but their live set is super fun and sounds like God, you know, if God sounded like something. Free Energy opened up for them and they were fucking awesome, too. It's a bunch of dudes playing some retro-sounding rock jamz and dancing around on stage. I'm definitely going to be seeing them again and I will dance like there's no tomorrow. You should go see Free Energy, too. They're awesome and catchy as hell. I think at one point my brother turned to me after they finished playing a song and he was like, "Holy shit, that was the perfect song." Hopefully an interview with them will posted soon, too. They were lots of fun. I promise it'll be an insanely funny interview. There are also lots of featured guests on the interview.
Here are some videos that I'm probably not allowed to post:
