Touch My Body
My most anticipated albums of 2010:

Titus Andronicus - Is it right to say they were the reason I'm into good music now and liberated from bands like the Black Kids, Passion Pit, Dirty Projectors, etc. Maybe it's because music has been shoved down my throat as a music director, but nonetheless Titus Andronicus has really opened a new realm of music sound and culture for me; something that existed beyond Bowery Presents, Pitchfork, and HypeMachine.

Male Bonding - A dear friend of mine with a great name introduced me to this awesome band and also told me Subpop was releasing their new LP. They conquered NYC during CMJ, me missing every show, mainly as a result of not being 21. They sound like No Age, but better and harder.

Surfer Blood - So now that I've really listened to them I say HELLZ YEA, GURL. Surfer Blood and Holiday Shores are making Flo-rida look useful and interesting. Thanks. And they're both fucking fantastic. 2010: Surfer Blood is going to fucking own you.

Suckers - I loved loved loved their EP and thought it was the most wonderful brilliant thing I've ever heard and then I saw their live set and thought that was wonderful, too. Suckers are definitely worth seeing and I'm stoked for their LP. Suckers are splendid yet really fucking strange and kind of bizarre. That's why you should love them.

Los Campesinos! - I have no idea. I love them. They sound so young and depressed and for some reason, it's very appealing.
Tanlines - I love anything that I can show off my ill dancing skillz to. This is probably true, except for Hot Chip.

The Soft Pack - I LOVE the Soft Pack. I even have my mom listening to them. The Soft Pack are awesome, even though Soft Pack is a much lamer name that The Muslims. An LP with a shitty single is what we're expecting from these fine young gentlemen.

Big Troubles - I think I only like this band because the lead vocalist looks really good. If you think the lead vocalist looks good and you like catchy dreamy summery jamz, look no further than Big Troubles who are releasing a 7" on Olde English Spelling Bee and a split with Fluffy Lumbers on Transparent or Mirror Universe or something like that. Whatever it is, it'll look good and sound super catchy.
Delorean - I'm only assuming Delorean has a 2010 release and when they do it will be an epic foreign dance party. I saw them at the Pitchfork / Showpaper benefit and they were sweaty dancing messes and it was kind of perfect. I also used my ill Spanish speaking skillz (thanks to NYS Public Education) and told them I had a chicken in my bathtub. Dance with chickens in your bathtub with Delorean.
Slothbear - Slothbear are my handsome juicy friends from Stony Brook. They're actually the only good band from Stony Brook U, let alone all of Strong Island. You know except for Bayside and Taking Back Sunday (I swear there's not any sarcasm in the last claim). Anyway, they're the only reason I like Grizzly Bear and the only reason I like any kind of animal related things, like zoos and pet shops and slaughter houses. Just kidding about the slaughter houses. Anyway, Qids, is super long awaited and maybe, just maybe, good things will come to these wild savage youngsters taking over Strong Island.
