One of my favorite 2010 releases thus far would be the Matador Casual Victim Pile Comp released in January featuring the likes of the Golden Boys, Woven Bones, Harlem, and Flesh Lights who probably have one of my favorite tracks on there! "Crush on You" is just a straight up good punk jam and it's catchy as hell. "sticky as shit, real brain candy that gets gummed up in your sinuses and doesn't leave." Sorry dudes, totally had to write that because a friend of mine who may or may not take music journalism seriously may or may not have used that phrase seriously to describe the new Slothbear record. Completely irrelevant, but anyway; you should REALLY listen to Flesh Lights. They're rad and Crush on You is the greatest, catchiest jam since Bow Wow's theme song to that rollerskating basketball film.
