Since I work as a music director at a college radio station, I have the illest jamz being shoved down my throat all the time. This gives my the grand opportunity of ripping mass quantities of music and hoarding them on my iPod. I think since my Backstreet Boys phase, I've only purchased four real albums. In the last ten years I've bought the latest release from Pterodactyl called World Wide and a 12" of Blackout Summer from Christmas Island and I think I bought the first album from the So So Glos. And before that, I think I actually bought the first Britney Spears LP, an album or two of Backstreet Boys, and an N'SYNC album. That's kind of shitty of me. I really need to buy more jamz. Somehow I own more physical albums than I've actually purchased. That also comes with being a music director. Free things are awesome. I will buy your music next time I see you.

Last night I saw one of my favorite bands from the west coast, Christmas Island. They're a good looking group of folks and they sounded wonderful, but maybe they could improve their stage presence a bit. Blackout Summer is still one of my favorite albums, ever. The only band that really impressed me was Beach Fossils. I think Beach Fossils and the Beets are two bands that I've seen too many times and never actually payed attention to them. Usually I wander around or stare at the ceiling towards the back of the venue. It was only a month ago that I decided that I truly like the Beets and I've always thought Beach Fossils were decent, but they needed to use less reverb. Reverb toxicity? System of a Down? Irrelevant? Yes. Anyway, Beach Fossils really really impressed me and they've gotten so incredibly good over the last year or so. They really are so fucking good. Anyway, enough of my ranting, just watch the videos and make your own juicy opinion because in the end, that's the only thing that is valid. Holla back.

PS. I want to make sweet love to the Beets.
